{"id":10377,"date":"2018-10-31T12:23:40","date_gmt":"2018-10-31T16:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandyblogs.com\/techlink\/?p=10377"},"modified":"2019-01-03T12:02:20","modified_gmt":"2019-01-03T17:02:20","slug":"exhaust-camshaft-reluctor-orientation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=10377","title":{"rendered":"Exhaust Camshaft Reluctor Orientation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some 2016-2019 Encore and Cruze models equipped with the 1.4L 4-cylinder engine (RPO LE2), 2016-2019 Malibu models equipped with the 1.5L 4-cylinder engine (RPO LFV), and 2018-2019 Equinox and Terrain models equipped with the 1.5L 4-cylinder engine (RPO LYX) may have a crank, no start or extended crank condition. Follow the diagnostics in the appropriate Service Information for an Engine Cranks But Does Not Run condition. If a cause is not found, the exhaust camshaft reluctor may be out of phase.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the cam cover assembly to confirm the exhaust camshaft reluctor orientation.<\/p>\n<p>During disassembly, also check the vacuum pump drive lugs (Fig. 14) for any damage.
