Previously, SI featured TIF and CGM graphics, which meant that special viewers needed to be downloaded using Internet Explorer (IE).<\/p>\n

Graphics Toolbar<\/strong><\/p>\n When viewing a document in SI, all graphics and images have a magnifying glass icon next to the graphic. The graphic toolbar is available after clicking the magnifying glass, which enlarges the graphic.<\/p>\n Toolbar functions enable users to enlarge a graphic, zoom in or out, rotate a graphic, fit the image to the height or width of the window, print the graphic as well as perform some edit functions. Select the black right arrow icon to expand the toolbar for access to the editing functions. (Fig. 5) Any edited graphics can be saved to your desktop or printed.<\/p>\n TIP:<\/strong> When printing in SI, use the SVG print icon in the toolbar. Do not right click your mouse and select the print function to print a graphic.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Toolbar Functionality<\/strong><\/p>\n Selecting the Question Mark button on the toolbar will display the SVG View Tool Toolbar Functionality pop-up, providing helpful information about each tool. (Fig. 6)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Click each toolbar icon to see a quick tip that indicates its function. (Fig. 7) Be sure to scroll down in the pop-up screen to view the complete description and operation of each tool.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Toolbar functions include:<\/p>\n Hyperlink Navigation<\/strong> \u2013 switch into hyperlink navigation mode and left-click to execute link<\/p>\n Zoom In<\/strong> \u2013 zoom in by 10%<\/p>\n Zoom Out<\/strong> \u2013 zoom out by 10%<\/p>\n Magnify Area<\/strong> \u2013 magnifying glass rectangle zooms in by 50%<\/p>\n Interactive Zoom<\/strong> \u2013 left-click and hold to display magnifying glass zoom rectangle area<\/p>\n Pan<\/strong> \u2013 interactively shift the visible part of the image within the view window<\/p>\n Rotate<\/strong> \u2013 rotate the image \u201390\u00b0\/+90\u00b0 (counterclockwise or clockwise)<\/p>\n Fit All<\/strong> \u2013 scale image to entirely fit into view window<\/p>\n Fit to Height<\/strong> \u2013 scale height of image to fit into view window<\/p>\n Fit to Width<\/strong> \u2013 scale width of image to fit into view window<\/p>\n Highlight Hotspots<\/strong> \u2013 highlight all hotspots in the image<\/p>\n Show\/Hide Red Liner<\/strong> \u2013 hide or show red line toolbar and edits<\/p>\n Draw Line<\/strong> \u2013 draw a red line<\/p>\n Draw Text<\/strong> \u2013 add text to image<\/p>\n Draw Ellipse<\/strong> \u2013 draw an ellipse<\/p>\n Draw Rectangle<\/strong> \u2013 draw a rectangle<\/p>\n Draw Freehand<\/strong> \u2013 draw a line freehand<\/p>\n Draw Highlight<\/strong> \u2013 highlight a hotspot\/link<\/p>\n Edit Object<\/strong> \u2013 edit or move current edit mark or object<\/p>\n Rotate Object<\/strong> \u2013 rotate a current edit mark or object<\/p>\n If you have any questions or concerns with the new graphics or toolbar, use the SI feedback link (Mail icon) at the top of any SI document.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n – Thanks to Heather Ball and Lou Winters<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Service Information (SI) now features new Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) in some of the new SI documents and bulletins.
