The new program kicks off with a new website, supported by Snap-on, along with an enhanced GM Tool and Equipment Program Customer Service Center that will serve as a \u201cone stop shop&#8221; for tool information and ordering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Website<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new website \u2014 gmglobaltools.com \u2014 is now accessible. Starting April 1, 2024, all orders are being fulfilled by Snap-on. (Fig. 1)<\/p>\n<p>All GM dealerships (U.S. and Canada) are being shipped a new program packet with website credentials to log in to the website and access dealership pricing and promotions. Dealerships with GM Dealer Equipment website credentials will be able to continue using those credentials on the new site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18442\" src=\"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/F01-Special-tools-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/F01-Special-tools-1.png 740w, https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/F01-Special-tools-1-300x195.png 300w, https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/F01-Special-tools-1-85x55.png 85w, https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/F01-Special-tools-1-200x130.png 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Fig. 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The new website will offer the latest information and ordering capabilities for both Special Tools and Dealer Equipment, with separate navigation trees for each program.<\/p>\n<p>Current tool orders not fulfilled by Bosch by April 1, 2024, will automatically be transferred to Snap-on to be fulfilled. However, orders that were place before September 1, 2023, will be canceled and must be re-ordered. A list of tools that have been ordered can be provided to dealerships by contacting the GM Tool and Equipment Program Customer Service Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tool Numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 5 digit \u201croot numbers&#8221; for tools will not be changing. However, the prefixes will change. EL-XXXXX, EN-XXXXX, CH-XXXXX, etc. will be replaced with GM-XXXXX in the new program. The change to the prefixes is designed to ensure consistency across the program. The \u201croot numbers&#8221; will be searchable within the Special Tools website, making it easy to find the right tools needed for repairs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Loan Tool Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Snap-on will facilitate the GM Loan Tool Program (LTP) moving forward. During the transition, Bosch will be unable to fulfill the loaner tool requests as inventory is being shipped to Snap-on. After April 1, 2024, all tools loaned to dealerships should be returned to Snap-on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tool Organization<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The GM ToolNet special service tools inventory management application will no longer be supported after April 1, 2024.
