{"id":19166,"date":"2024-11-14T14:17:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-14T19:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=19166"},"modified":"2024-11-14T14:17:11","modified_gmt":"2024-11-14T19:17:11","slug":"update-google-maps-application-offline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=19166","title":{"rendered":"Update: Google Maps Application Offline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to a recent update of the Google Maps application, an issue may arise in which the infotainment system (RPO IOK, IVD, IVE) has a persistent \u201cOffline\u201d icon in maps and a \u201cCan\u2019t connect to Google\u201d message (Fig. 14) present on some 2022-2024 Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Yukon, HUMMER EV, BrightDrop EVs; 2023-2024 LYRIQ, Colorado, Canyon; 2024 Envision, XT4, Corvette, Traverse, Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Silverado EV and Acadia models.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19159\" src=\"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/F14-Google-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"480\" \/><strong>Fig. 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manually update the Google Maps application in the app\u2019s Settings menu to clear the messages and restore Maps operation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Begin by opening the Maps app from the infotainment system Home screen. Select the Update button at the top of the screen to update the application.
