{"id":19866,"date":"2025-05-09T01:00:32","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T05:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=19866"},"modified":"2025-05-29T16:31:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T20:31:15","slug":"new-tac-response-requested-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=19866","title":{"rendered":"New TAC Response Requested Process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A new GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) process has been implemented to ensure the customer is being considered when TAC is working in partnership with dealership technicians to repair customers\u2019 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19853\" src=\"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/TAC-Logo1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Following Up with Technicians<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the customer in mind, TAC will follow up with technicians if there is not a response on an open TAC case to see if a customer&#8217;s vehicle is repaired. Here\u2019s the process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TAC cases are no longer automatically closed when there is not a response from the dealership after a TAC consultation.<\/li>\n<li>Technician\/Dealer response is required to close a TAC case. TAC now sends a follow-up email to the technician via Dealer Case Management (DCM) when there has not been any follow up from the dealership within 48 hours of the last TAC consultation. Technicians must call or reply within DCM to let TAC know if they need further assistance or if the customer\u2019s concern has been resolved and the case can be closed.<\/li>\n<li>For technicians who do not respond to this follow-up request within 24 hours, additional follow up will be made with a copy to the dealership Service Manager and District Manager Parts &amp; Service (DMPS).
