{"id":9485,"date":"2018-02-28T10:23:14","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T15:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/techlink.mynetworkcontent.com\/?p=9485"},"modified":"2019-01-03T12:03:39","modified_gmt":"2019-01-03T17:03:39","slug":"download-the-latest-afit-software-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gm-techlink.com\/?p=9485","title":{"rendered":"Download the Latest AFIT Software Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest software update for the CH-47976 Active Fuel Injector Tester (AFIT) is now available for download.<\/p>\n<p>The software release \u2014 free of charge to GM dealerships \u2014 updates several aspects of the AFIT diagnostic tool:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20 new vehicles and two vehicle updates<\/li>\n<li>Database support for new vehicles that use existing cables<\/li>\n<li>Database support for new vehicles that use in-line adapters<\/li>\n<li>Database support for new vehicles that are now using SENT<\/li>\n<li>Database support for new vehicles that now feature an automatic engine Stop\/Start system (KL9)<\/li>\n<li>Firmware update to support new G6 Cable and special crank procedure for certain applications covered in the Service Information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the software release continues to support the SIDI and Duramax diesel engine applications that use essential SIDI adapter harnesses and available Duramax adapter harnesses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Software Download<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The AFIT software update (CH-47976-240) is available from the GM Dealer Equipment website. (Fig. 2) Download the software through the Service Workbench selection of \u201cEssential Tools \u2013 Software Updates\u201d in GM GlobalConnect (U.S. only).
