Loose Connection at Connector X175

A number of powertrain DTCs may be set along with an illuminated Check Engine MIL on some 2023-2024 Colorado, Canyon; 2024 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models equipped with the 2.7L turbo 4-cylinder engine (RPO L3B).

Before making any engine or transmission repairs, inspect the X175 transmission connector, located under the vehicle at the rear of the automatic transmission. (Fig. 9)

Remove the connector and check that all terminals are properly seated.

In addition, review the appropriate Service Information and, using the correct terminal tension tool, verify proper terminal tension. (Fig. 10)

If poor terminal tension is found, repair or replace the terminal as needed and check for proper operation.
