The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension may be inoperative on some 2024-2025 Silverado EV RST and Sierra Denali EV models. A Service Leveling System message may be displayed on the Driver Information Center and DTC C1197 (Leveling Compressor Motor) SYM 92 may be set.
These air leveling suspension conditions may be caused by a plugged, pinched or obstructed air inlet hose to the air suspension compressor assembly (Fig. 7, #17), or an internal air suspension compressor assembly issue.
Fig. 7
Check the air suspension compressor air inlet hose for any conditions that would prevent air from entering the air suspension compressor and repair as needed. The hose may be twisted near the inline air inlet filter. (Fig. 8)
Fig. 8
Also inspect the inlet hose under the rear seat inside the vehicle. It may be blocked by the rear wiring harness, located to the right of the audio amplifier. (Fig. 9)
Fig. 9
If the harness is restricting the air inlet hose, detach the harness retainer from the mounting stud and rotate the harness to provide additional clearance to the hose. (Fig. 10) Install a new harness clip if the clip becomes damaged during the repair.
