Signing In to Techline Connect

The Techline Connect (TLC) application does not support GlobalConnect user IDs or PC login IDs that include spaces or special symbols. Using IDs with these characters may lead to possible application errors.

For example, a GlobalConnect user ID or PC login ID of “Shop Tech” is not recommended. However, an ID of “ShopTech” without the space is acceptable. (Fig. 2)

It is also a good practice to refrain from using any special symbols, such as the following: ~ ! @ # /, etc.

These symbols can occasionally cause applications to behave in an unintended manner that may lead to application errors.

TIP: These formatting recommendations also apply to the naming of the SSID on Wireless Access Points. Even if your ID/dealer SSID currently includes spaces or symbols and you’re not experiencing issues, the potential exists for concerns to arise in the future when code changes to the applications.

For any questions about Techline Connect features, including ID formatting, contact the Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC) at 1-800-828-6860 (English) or 1-800-503-3222 (French).
