A new half shaft part number has been released for 2019-2025 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks equipped with the Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package (RPO Z7X). (Fig. 20) The new part number, 85587219, should be used to order half shafts on the appropriate Silverado and Sierra models.

Two Part Numbers in the EPC
When using the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC), two half shafts will be shown as available to order. (Fig. 21) The only difference between the two half shafts is that one is painted and one is unpainted. Due to backorders of the painted half shaft, orders for the unpainted half shaft will be fulfilled more quickly, helping to complete repairs in a shorter amount of time.
