Powerful Performance

VISTIQ’s standard dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivers a powerful driving experience. Up front, the electric drive transmission (RPO S76) consists primarily of an 180kW drive motor, one differential/offset gear set, mechanical transmission fluid pump and housing, and two axles. At the rear, the electric drive transmission (RPO P9C) consists primarily of a 250kW drive motor, one differential/offset gear set, mechanical transmission fluid pump and housing, two axles, park pawl and electronic park actuator.

The 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack — using a lithium-ion NCMA cathode and blended graphite anode — offers 615 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. (880 Nm) of near-instant torque along with a Cadillac-estimated 305 miles of range, when equipped with the 11.5 kW onboard charging module. With the vehicle is Velocity Max mode, 0-60 mph can be reached in 3.7 seconds.

Note: Actual range may vary based on several factors, including ambient temperature and terrain. Actual charge times will vary based on battery starting state of charge, battery condition, output of charger, vehicle settings and battery temperature.

The high-voltage A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack consists of several lithium-ion cells welded together in series or parallel to form the Cell Module Assembly (CMA), or high-voltage section battery. (Fig. 2, #6) Based upon option content, the battery pack may contain up to 12 CMAs. The high-voltage battery pack is installed from beneath the vehicle.

The K16 Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) controls and monitors battery pack operation and is the host controller for all battery diagnostics and system status. The BECM is located outside of the battery pack assembly, within the passenger compartment on the right-side floorboard beneath the carpet. (Fig. 2, #5)

The standard multi-link front suspension and 5-link rear suspension features continuous damping control. And the available Air Ride Adaptive suspension, combined with GM’s purpose-built electric drivetrain, contributes to VISTIQ’s smooth ride and handling.

In addition, the available Active Rear Steering improves maneuverability and turning diameter, making the vehicle more agile.

The VISTIQ rides on standard 21-inch wheels, while available 22-inch wheels and 23-inch reverse rim wheels provide added style. (Fig. 3)

Hands-Free Start

The vehicle is equipped with Hands-Free Start, which will automatically start the vehicle when conditions are met. To start the vehicle, with the key fob in the cabin, press the brake pedal or close the driver’s door. The vehicle will power on automatically and the Ready icon will appear on the cluster display when the vehicle is ready to be driven. If a key fob was left in the vehicle after the last power cycle, the brake pedal must be applied to power on the vehicle.

After driving the vehicle, it will power off automatically once the vehicle is shifted into Park, the vehicle is exited, and the driver’s door is closed. To turn off the vehicle manually, with the vehicle in Park, select the Off icon on the infotainment screen. If the vehicle was powered on, but never shifted out of Park, the vehicle must be turned off manually.

To keep the vehicle on after exiting the vehicle, shift to Park and then select the Extend Mode icon on the infotainment screen. The vehicle will remain on for a set time displayed on the infotainment screen.

Charging Technology

The dual-level charge cord provided with the vehicle features a standard 120V receptacle for level 1 charging and a 220–240V receptacle for level 2 charging. (Fig. 8)

Level 3 DC Fast Charging, available at certain public charging stations, provides quick charging of the vehicle’s battery while traveling away from home. DC Fast Charging works best to quickly add miles of range to the vehicle when its charge is below 80%.

The vehicle is equipped with a charge port status light. (Fig. 9) When the charge cord is plugged in, the light color indicates the charging status.

VISTIQ also comes equipped with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Bidirectional Charging capabilities, which when paired with the available GM Energy V2H Bundle, allows for the transfer of electric power from the vehicle.

Safety and Security

Standard safety and driver assistance systems include:

  • Blind Zone Steering Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Rear Cross Traffic Braking
  • Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking
  • Reverse Automatic Braking
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Side Bicyclist Alert
  • Safety Alert Seat
  • Rear Pedestrian Alert

Fig. 10

Available Night Vision, enabled by an infrared sensor for driving at night, helps the driver to see pedestrians or animals directly ahead.

Hands-free Super Cruise driver assistance technology with three years of OnStar also is standard.

A new feature of Super Cruise is Hands-on Lane Centering Assist (HoLCA), which activates when the vehicle detects proper lane lines, the vehicle is sufficiently centered in the lane, the driver’s eyes appear on the road, and the driver’s hands are detected on the while.

Automated Parking Assist also has been updated with Vision Enhanced Parking. The system uses 360-degree camera input in addition to ultrasonic detection to help detect lane lines in the absence of an object to offer more available parking spots and improve the parking maneuver.

Note: Safety or driver assistance features are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect feature performance. Always pay attention while driving and when using Super Cruise. Do not use a hand-held device. Requires active Super Cruise Plan or trial.
