New Technician Excellence Program Job Aids Help Track Technicians’ Progress

Service technicians enrolled in the 2022 Technician Excellence Program (U.S.) by their dealership can use the GM Excellence Executive Dashboard found in the GlobalConnect App Center to monitor their progress toward achieving Gold, MTC and WCT Certifications.

The Dashboard includes technicians’ progress and earning potential for each certification as well as indicates if they’ve met the qualifiers of the minimum 25 RO count and 100% completion in Emerging Issues and Fundamentals. The RO count is updated weekly.

 

Job Aids for Technicians and Service Managers

For insight to all of the information available on the GM Excellence Executive Dashboard, new job aids are now available. They cover all the details about each enrolled technician as well as dealership service department team.

The job aids can be accessed on the Service Technician Training, Recruiting, Retention and Recognition App on GlobalConnect. Select the Technician Recruiting, Retention & Recognition tab > Technician Excellence Program to view the job aid. (Fig. 9)

The job aid for technicians highlights how each individual technician can use the GM Excellence Executive Dashboard to monitor progress toward training objectives. (Fig. 10)

The job aid for service managers can help keep track of all technicians in the dealership who are enrolled in the program. It provides access to individual technician reports and potential payouts. (Fig. 11)
