The infotainment system (RPO IOK, IOR, IOS, IOT, IOU, IOV, IVA, IVD, IVE) on some 2023-2024 models (Fig. 16) may need to be reset if a black screen appears or the screen is frozen.

There are several possible steps to follow to recover the radio.
Steering Wheel Controls
For IOK, IVD and IVE systems, with the vehicle in Park, begin by pressing and holding the End Call button (phone with slash icon) on the steering wheel (Fig. 17) for about 15 seconds until the infotainment screens turns black, and then releasing the button. After approximately 5-10 seconds, the welcome screen should appear, and the infotainment system will reboot. If the system recovers, check for a software update of the affected module and reprogram the radio.

TIP: Share the reset procedure using the steering wheel controls with customers if it solves the radio operating concern.
Radio Fuse
For IOS, IOT, IOU, IOV, IOR, and IVA systems, or if using the steering wheel button does not recover the IOK, IVD or IVE system, cycle the fuse for the radio module.
12V Battery
If the system does not recover after cycling the fuse, cycle the 12V battery by unhooking and reconnecting the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in the appropriate Service Information.
Terminals/Connectors
If the system does not recover after cycling the 12V battery, check for any terminal or connection issues at the radio connector and repair as needed. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connection in the appropriate Service Information.
Software Update
Once the radio has been recovered, check for a software update of the affected module and reprogram the radio.
If all steps have been completed and the radio has not been recovered, contact the Technical Assistance Center.
